An opportunity for a Veterinary Nurse Manager to join our Frankston & Mount Waverley teams on a full-time basis.

The Animal Emergency Centre Frankston & Mount Waverley has a unique opportunity for a passionate and innovative Nurse Manager to join our Team, who is motivated by leading an ECC nursing team including ancillary services, to provide a safe and high standard of patient care and client service. The Nurse Manager will work closely with the Business Manager and Vet Directors on all aspects of running the hospital and assume overall responsibility for the nursing department. Responsibilities would include;

  • Managing day to day operations of the hospital
  • Overseeing nursing care and client services
  • Leading and developing the nursing team, and building a positive team culture
  • Workforce planning including rosters and recruitment
  • Inventory management
  • Administrative tasks
  • Contributing to the continuous development and improvement of the AEC

The Nurse Manager role is an exciting opportunity to join one of Melbourne’s most dynamic ECC hospitals, where there is a genuine drive to provide a supportive and caring work environment. The role will be supported by a highly experienced and collaborative leadership team, with over 15 years of veterinary leadership and management experience.

What you need to bring

  • A passion to lead and motivate a high functioning nursing team
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • A keen eye for rostering
  • Leadership and team building skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Previous experience in leading a team
  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent
